Oswald tv show games4/6/2024 ![]() Unhinged and in need of psychiatric assistance. Anyone who knew anything about Oswald knows that he was just a bent-out-of-shape post teen, along the same lines as John Hinckley or Mark Chapman. References to "an act of war" were nothing short of hysterical. The same could not be said of ISIS, quite apart from the fact that they don't actually have embassies anywhere. Even during the Cold War, it is possible that a person could visit a Soviet embassy for a legitimate reason. Whatever their faults, the Soviets were not ISIS so the comparison is at best odious and frankly, unfair. On top of which they made no bones about comparing the old Soviet Union with ISIS. So much was made of Oswald's visit to the Soviet embassy that they actually almost overlooked the fact that he had lived in the USSR for some years beforehand and that his wife was a Soviet citizen. ![]() By the end of the first episode they had me thinking they were actually going to blame all this on the Soviet Union - or as they persistently call it, "Russia". You'd think they were trying to provoke a war. As if that wasn't bad enough, what put me off this show was its shrill tone. Start with not much material and just keep on repeating it ad nauseam until you reckon the ADD types have got it. Note: plenty of spoilers! The formula for these so-called documentaries is so hackneyed these days.
